For the month of March, members of the Basingstoke Ladies' Choir, friends and family did a virtual walk around Great Britain to raise funds for SEBASTIAN'S ACTION TRUST which supports seriously ill children and their families.. With approximately 60 walkers of all ages we covered 4,124.87 milesand so far have raised in excess of £2000 for the charity. On Wedneday 31st March members of the choir were greeted by the Mayor, Cllr DianeTaylor and her Consort Andy Taylor at Memorial Park to mark the end of the walk and fundraising effort.
Cllr Taylor said: "Very welly done to the basingstoke ladies Choir. This project combined exercise, targeted activity during the long days of lockdown and financial support for a superb charity. What a great achievenment."
When all the sponsorship money is in there will be a presentation to Sebation's Action Trust.
