Basingstoke ladies Choir support RadCan
The Basingstoke ladies Choir have raised £440.26 for local charity RadCan, formed originally to raise funds for a radiotherapy unit in Basingstoke. Around 50% of patients from the area can now be treated at the centre rather than having to travel to Southampton, Guildford of London.
Currently the centre is providing radiotherapy for patients with breast and prostrate cancer.
Now RadCan continues to support the centre by purchasing specialist equipment not available from the NHS budget but which makes treatment more accurate and effective.
The Basingstoke Ladies choir work hard to support local charities and were delighted to be able to support RadCan through their singing.
The choir has made many new members welcome this year and now is an excellent time to join this progressive and lively group of ladies under the leadership of Robert Elliott, Musical Director.
The Basingstoke Ladies choir is now looking forward to a short tour in Cornwall in June and the annual concert in October alongside the Hampshire Police Male Voice choir.
